After nearly 20 years working as an architect for very high-profile companies in the heritage scene, I have created The Architect Studio out of the desire to work on a smaller scale with clients that require architectural solutions to their physical space problems in a historic setting.

My involvement in a project is not just about designing and specifying repairs to old buildings. It is also about advising the client along the process and liaising with all parties, including statutory bodies, contractors, and consultants.
When I take on a project, I pour all of my creative and professional talents into it. I am passionate about historic buildings needing repair and refurbishment, creating designs that will enhance and complement the existing in a sympathetic manner.

Over the years, I have worked with private clients, developers, local authorities, charities, Parochial Church Councils, and the Crown Estate, all with different needs and requirements. I like working with my clients to achieve their ambition and deliver the best possible outcome for every project.

I also collaborate with other architectural practices and volunteer some of my time to Inspiring the Future, a national campaign to inspire primary school children to succeed in their chosen career paths.

I am committed to making spaces places that will stimulate people, help them connect, and enrich the human experience while enjoying beautiful and practical environments.

My motto:
'Excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude'
